Abstract
The expansion of women's access to education has become a key policy in some developing countries, including Indonesia Nondiscriminatory education will benefit both women and men, which in turn will facilitate equity in relationships between women and men community. School as a formal education institution is a very important social institution in forming and then positioning individual men and women in certain classes and strata in society. This paper discusses how the strategy of expanding women's access to education undertaken by the families / communities of schools and local governments? The strategies undertaken to expand women's access to secondary education include synergy between government, schools and the community. Society must reorient its perception, interest, motivation and negative expectation to education itself. The government has undertaken various gender responsive policies so that the expected equity and the expansion of women's access to school can continue. While the school is expected to create a conducive climate gender awareness can be used as a foothold for the expansion of education. Keywords: Education Policy, Responsive, Gender
