Abstract

Abstract: “Islamic education is an integral part of the national education system and has a major contribution in instilling values and culture and diversity in every individual. The purpose of this research is to find out the values and culture that need to be maintained as a result of the legacy of Islamic education in the next generation and methods of Islamic education in instilling values and culture. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques use data such as journals, books, modules, and websites that are used as references. While the data analysis technique used is data reduction and drawing conclusions. The results obtained show that in Islamic education the values that need to be inherited are the values contained in the sources of Islamic teachings, namely the Koran and Sunnah which are the core of al-akhlaq al-karimah (morals) as the estuary of all educational activities. Through the cultivation of Islamic education with various methods, personal awareness will arise as individuals and members of society. Keywords : Islamic Education; Planting Values; Culture Islam .
