Learning style is the method a person uses to learn. By knowing a student’s learning style, a teacher can use teaching methods that maximize student learn. Students can use recognition of their individual learning styles to find what study methods, environment, and activities help them learn best. Thus, types of learning style are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning. The objective of study in this research are to describe about the types of learning style are the Thai students of English implemented, they are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic and to know the learning style implemented by the dominant achiever used Thai students who have visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners in English.
The method that used in this study was interview, observation sheet, and documentation. Interview used by researcher was Learning Style Survey by Brog, 1989. The result shows that the learning styles of Thai students there are five visual learners, there are one auditory learner, and there is one kinesthetic learner.
As result, the visual learner more dominant than auditory and kinesthetic learner in class. Meanwhile, students strategies based on their learning style were visual learner often do not remember information given orally without being able to see it. They memorize using visual clues. Visual learners remember something better if they wrote down and visualize picture, word or number in their head. Visual learners use color coding to help them learn something.
