Nowadays, English becomes one of compulsory subjects at all of schools in Indonesia (English as Foreign Language / EFL classroom), but the Indonesian government removed English lessons from elementary school. The researcher found a child who has more knowledge in English event he did not study English in his school and he also did not take English course. The child can make descriptive writing in English with self-taught by playing video games, watching movies and asking to his cousin. Therefore the researcher is interested in analyzing descriptive writing of this child.
This research is only focused on descriptive writing The objective of this research is to describe the writing descriptive paragraph achievement of 10 years old child named Fawwaz Era Ramadhana. This research used qualitative research method with descriptive qualitative design. The reporter asks to the 10 years child to write descriptive paragraph. The descriptive paragraph then analyzes in terms of elements to answer the research problem i.e. to describe the writing descriptive paragraph achievement of 10 years old child named Fawwaz Era Ramaalhana.
Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that 3 texts or (100%) were categorized as fair, there was no categorized as excel, goal poor and failed. I showed that the ability of the subject was generally fair. The difficulties in writing descriptive text faced by the subject were in choosing appropriate content, had a mistake in organizing the paragraph, lack in vocabulary, and did not master the grammar well and still difficulties in arranging the sentences. But, for the child who did not study English in the school the subject indicates good knowledge in English.
