Reading is an essential for students in order to cope with new knowledge in changing world. This is reasonable enough due to the fact that the fast grow information is recorded and issued through media, such as television, internet, radio, magazine and e-Books. Through reading students can access the latest information. The ability to read fast and accurate will help them to increase their knowledge and perspective. By reading, students are able to enhance the current information and technology, enjoy literature, find ideas and do so many things. By reading, student can improve their ability to organize the text, comprehend the passage, and identify the topic sentence. In Islamic text, student can understand about their religion in English text. Islam as a way of life must be learned by students who study in Islamic-based schools. With the existence of English-language Islamic literature, shows that Islam is spread throughout the world including in the west itself. Therefore, as students need to understand Islamic texts in English by reading. The objective of the study is to find out the reading Islamic English text achievement at eleventh grade of SMA Islam Ulumuddin Samboja in academic year 2019/2020.
The design of the research in descriptive quantitative. The total number of the population is 76 students of the study on Islamic English reading text achievement at eleventh grade of SMA Islam Ulumuddin Samboja in academic year 2019/2020. The researcher took all the student as sample in collecting the data. The researcher used a test as an instrument on students’ reading comprehension. The test in this research consists of 25 items of multiple choices. The researcher analyzed the data by using mean score.
Based on the result of the research, the mean score of students reading comprehension is 85,65. Based on the students’ reading classification table, that the mean score is 80-100 is excellent. It means that the level classification of students’ English Islamic reading text achievement at eleventh grade of SMA Islam Ulumuddin Samboja is excellent.
