This research is under the guidance of Mrs. Rostanti Toba, M.Pd as the first advisor and Mrs. Nadia Sya’ya, M.Pd, M.TESOL as the second advisor. Understanding grammar is crucial to becoming fluent in English. Possessive adjective is one aspect that should be mastered to support grammar knowledge. But, in the practical, there are many students that confused in using possessive adjective. This research conducted to find out the types of error make by the students in using possessive adjective on English worksheet and to analyze the students’ difficulties in using possessive adjectives on English worksheet. The researcher took 21 students for sample research. The researcher used qualitative research. The data were collected through observation to observe the teaching learning process, interview with teacher and some student, and document which in this research is English worksheets. The research found that the mastery of fifth grade of MI Al-Huda, Samarinda – Kalimantan Timur in using possessive adjective on English worksheet was low. The highest percentage is error of ordering with percentage 42.5%, the second is error of formation with percentage 55%, next is error of omission with percentage 1.25%, the last, the percentage error of addition is 1.25%. These are three factors caused of students’ error. First factor is influenced by mother tongue, the second factor is because the students still confused in translated Indonesian text to English text, the last factor is because the teacher not uses appropriate method in learning process.en_US
